Wanting has its own gravity
Untouched, the paddle waits.
Close enough to imagine the sting, the sound, the moment it finally meets your skin.
And I wait too.
At first, maybe it is the paddle that holds your attention. But anticipation shifts. Soon you are watching me instead, wondering whether I have noticed, whether I am going to reach for it, whether I want to.
That is when the wanting changes.
You still want the sensation. But now you want my attention with it. My decision. The feeling of knowing I see exactly what you want and might choose to give it to you.
You wanted the paddle.
Now you want me to want to use it on you.
